Paris, April 2023

Field observations from 20th April 2023 to 25th April 2023

The weather and temperatures in Paris were normal for the season. Since it was quite sunny, inhabitants were out in parks. Crows don’t seem to feel stressed by their presence, even resting on the ground directly.

In the botanical garden on the National Natural History Museum, they seemed really unimpressed by the scarecrow of the pedagogical garden.

The system of bandmark allows easily to spot particular individuals, as 058, the last known survivor of the Tuileries flock.

In the Champs de Mars, the last remaining pair is doing great with their now not-so-young-anymore younglings. They can be seen plucking the grass, foraging for larvae.
