Field observations from 20th May 2023 to 23rd May 2023

The nesting season has really started in Tartu, and most of the crows are again this year in Raadi Cemetery.

Crows can be seen gathering in small band, foraging the soil to find food.

They are eating plants buds and roots, seeds, but also insects that can be found in abundance at this time of the year.

In a place where they are not disturbed or chased away by humans, adults are peacefully walking in the avenues, collecting food for themselves, their partners and their younglings.
