Tartu, June 2023

Field observations from 18th June 2023 to 26th June 2023

June is particularly nice this year in Tartu, and many species, not only corvids, are benefiting from it.

Even if some days have been particularly hot, the favourite spot of the corvids, Raadi Cemetery, is always a fresh and nice place to be.

Crows, in particular C. frugilegus, can be seen foraging for food between the graves.

In this place of peace, where humans are particularly calm and gentle, they are not afraid of walking in the same avenues as inhabitants, and to be quite close to them.
